(excerpt from The Beginning of The End)

The Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ mentioned that sexual promiscuity never appears among a people to such an extent that they commit it openly, but plagues and diseases that were never known among the predecessors will spread among them.  The Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ has indicated to us that acts of public indecency, particularly of a sexual nature, will be the cause of diseases. As an effect from that shameful cause, Allāh عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ will test us with disease. The Messenger صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ mentioned that we will be tested by diseases which were never known by our forebears, nor by us. It is quite astonishing to note that the AIDS epidemic is a sexually transmitted disease which traces its origin only to the early 1900s. For the student of Islāmic eschatology, the AIDS virus is one which makes absolute sense when we come to the realization that ‘sex sells’. There isn’t a single magazine, paper, or page of the internet where Dajjāl’s puppets have left free from the lure of free sex. The pornography industry has risen to become a multi-billion dollar industry today.

A survey taken by an Islāmic website a few years ago revealed that the Muslim countries were the most frequent searchers for pornography on the internet. This lust has led to shameless acts of public indecency. There are now beaches all over the world where people pay to walk around naked like donkeys. These public promiscuous acts of a sexual nature has been prophesized as a sign of the Final Hour,

Sayyidunā Abdullāh ibn Amr رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ عَنْہُ reported that the Messenger صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ of Allāh عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ stated, “The Hour will not be established until people fornicate with each other in the road just as donkeys fornicate”. I said, “Is this really going to occur?” The Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ said, “Undoubtedly it shall come to pass”[1]

True were the words of the Beloved Messenger صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ! There are international festivals held with the lure of free-to-engage-public-sex for all in the streets. Never before has humanity been so arrogant in its behavior against God Almighty. Indeed, the diseases which are now being spread as a consequence of these licentious acts are part of the trials which we face in the modern age. Hence we arrive at the conclusion –and Allāh عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ knows best- that the existence of these sexually transmitted diseases are more than sufficient to prove that we are indeed living in Aākhiruz Zamān
