(excerpt from The Beginning of The End)

The Blessed Messenger صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ discussed the subject of Ākhiruz Zamān with such precision that the events which we see unraveling today, strengthens his claim to Prophethood for the entire world to witness, and further strengthens our belief in his message.

The Middle East is indeed an area of interest in the buildup to the arrival of Dajjāl. Hence we can safely deduce that as his inevitable arrival draws closer, that the Middle East will be in its entirety, under threat. Those countries that have allied themselves with the minions of the false messiah will come to realize their mistake when it is too late.

Saddam Husein was a great ally for the west until they decided to go against him. So too was Hosni Mubarak, but once the west realized that the rebellion in Egypt would open other avenues for them, they too left their man to the gutters.

The Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ made a bold statement in relation to these three key areas in Ākhiruz Zamān. We will progress to discuss these narrations in hope of unraveling the signs in the modern age,

Sayyidunā Abū Hurayrah  reported the Messenger صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ of Allāh  as saying, “Iraq will prevent its measure (Qafīz) and Dirham[1]. Syria will prevent its measure (Mudd) and Dinar[2]. Egypt will prevent its measure (Irdabb) and Dinar. Then you will return to the position where you started. Zuhayr said this three times.[3]

  • The above narration mentions Iraq, Syria and Egypt.
  • The below mentioned narration only discusses Iraq and Syria but the perpetrators have been unveiled as well.

Sayyidunā Abū Nadhrah رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ عَنْہُ reported, “We were in the company of Jābir bin ‘Abdullāh رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ عَنْہُ, that he said, ‘It may happen that the people of Iraq may not send their qafīz and dirhams’ (their measures of food stuff and their money). We said, ‘Who would be responsible for it?’ He said, ‘The non-Arabs would prevent them’. He again said, ‘There is the possibility that the people of Syria may not send their dinārs and mudds’. We said, ‘Who would be responsible for it?’ He said, ‘This prevention would be made by the Romans’. He (Jābir bin Abdullāh) kept quiet for a while and then reported Allāh’s Messenger صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ having said, ‘There would be a caliph in the last (period) of my Ummah who would freely give handfuls of wealth to the people without counting it’. I said to Abū Nadhrah and Abū al-A’lā, ‘Do you mean ‘Umar bin ‘Abdul Azīz?’ They said, ‘No’ (he would be Imām Al-Mahdī.[4]

Both narrations have discussed Iraq, but the former only discussed the trials it will undergo, whilst the latter identified the perpetrators. Combining these two narrations pertaining to Irāq, the following is clear,

  1. Irāq will have its currency stopped
  1. Its natural resources stopped
  1. The perpetrators will be the ‘Romans’

It is our understanding -and Allāh Almighty knows best- that the mention of Iraq’s Dirham was in all probability, a prophecy regarding the Iraqi sanctions in 1990.

It is common knowledge that Iraq and its former leader, Saddam Hussein was a close ally of the west. When the rules of that affair changed on either side, the relationship between the west and Iraq deteriorated swiftly.

This resulted in sanctions against Iraq were a near-total financial and trade embargo imposed by the United Nations Security Council on the Iraqi Republic. They began on August 6 1990, four days after Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait, stayed largely in force until May 2003 (after Saddam Hussein’s being forced from power).[5]

The mention of the Qafīz was also quite intriguing as this was a measurement used mainly to measure ‘oil’. As we are well aware, the Petro-Dollar’s survival is based on the sale of oil in U.S. Dollars. There had been chatter for quite some time that Saddam was going to turn his back on his deal with the U.S. and trade oil in a different currency. This of course, would have brought down the U.S. Dollar and could have even led to its collapse. They had to ensure that nobody else got their hands on the oil, and if there was a possibility for oil to be exported from Iraq, that only they would have access to it.

As a result, the ‘Oil for Food’ campaign was introduced after much criticism against the policies employed by the U.N. at the time. The overall death toll was in excess of five hundred thousand according to UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund)[6].

Former U.N. Humanitarian Coordinator in Iraq, Denis Halliday stated that the death toll as, “Two hundred thirty-nine thousand children 5 years old and under” as of 1998.[7]

This is the democracy of the west. One which preaches ‘Human Rights’ on face, and the other which ‘breaches’ those rights in order to fulfill its objectives on the other. A double-faced democracy indeed which surfaced in the famous interview with Madeline Albright (then U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations), on May 12, 1996, Lesley Stahl of 60 Minutes asked her “We have heard that half a million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?” and Albright replied “We think the price is worth it.”

It is clear that we are living in an age wherein evil is widespread indeed!

The second narration explained that when the companions inquired about who would be the perpetrators of such a crime against Iraq, the response was ‘Non-Arabs’. This was indeed the case because majority of the Arab world was not in favor of the sanctions placed on the Iraqi populace. In fact, the economic sanctions placed in Iraq followed by the Gulf Wars or Operation Desert Storm was authorized by the United Nations and led by the US with the UK cooperating closely.

This coincides with the narrative we have cited. The narration spoke of Iraq’s currency being halted as well as its oil in measure. The second narration went to implicate the guilty parties. All the evidence is indicative that the aforementioned narrations were indeed prophecies regarding Iraq and he Iraqi sanctions. In the end, Allāh Almighty knows best!

Syria – Al-Shām (Syro-Palestine)

It is pivotal that the reader be made aware of the following point whenever any discussion pertaining to Al-Shām (Syria) is mentioned henceforth. The inability to distinguish between historical Shām and the Syria of today (which was divided and partitioned after the world war) may cause us to miss vital information in our search for the truth.

“Today, Al-Shām is known by its current borders as ‘Syria’. Historically, the area of Al-Shām consisted of Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and Damascus. This particular area is better known as Syro-Palestine.”[8]

If our understanding of the first part regarding Iraq is correct, then it follows that Syria would become the next target as it was mentioned second in the hadīth.  Currently, as this book is being written, Syria is under-fire. She is being attacked on various fronts.

Hundreds of thousands of Syrians have fled from their homes in fear of their lives. Muslims should do well to put aside their petty differences and focus on the ‘bigger picture’ out there. As long as we remain divided on subsidiary issues, we will be easily conquered.

In relation to Syria, the second narration however, explained that the perpetrators would be the ‘Romans’. Whilst the ‘non-Arabs’ were mentioned in the first narration, the second narration only pointed out the Romans. Hence the Arabs were not excluded from the involvement of the possible war / fall of Syria. The direct involvement of Saudi Arabia and Qatar etc. is clearly visible to those who have been following the Syrian conflict.

In relation to the ‘Romans’, this may be in reference to those Romans from the prophetic era viz. Eastern Orthodox Christianity as Sūrah ‘Ar-Rūm’ in the Qur’ān was in reference to Eastern Orthodox Christianity.

We must also place on record that whatever the interpretation of ‘Romans’ may be, that we do not imply that all ‘Romans’ are guilty. In fact, when the decision to invade Iraq was being deliberated, people like Ron Paul[9] showed an outright opposition to the policy of the U.S. involving itself in an invasion of this magnitude. It would be a very uncharitable statement to condemn an entire people based on the actions of their leaders.

The mention to ‘Romans’ could have also been an allusion to current European Christianity. The False Flag Paris Attacks[10] allowed France (European Christianity) the much coveted reason to attack Syria. Of course, the U.S, led this attack too. It seems as though the American citizens were becoming fed-up with the ‘Islāmist Terrorist’ propaganda, especially after 9/11, so a different place was required to provide lambs to the slaughter! In this case, it was France. The rest they say is History!

As it stands, Egypt seems to be in the clear. Their critical position on the map bordering Palestine keeps them in good stead with the powers that be, so long as the security of the State of Israel is the priority.

Egypt’s relations with the West are by far one of the most neglected points of mentioning recent times.

Forbes Washington reported the following in 2015,

“The Obama Administration announced on March 31 that it was reinstating $1.5 billion in military aid to the Al-Sisi regime in Egypt”

The writer went on to note,

“In fact, Egypt receives about 20 percent of all U.S. funding provided to foreign countries through the Foreign Military Funding program.”[11]

According to the narration, there has to occur some really serious incident in order for their rosy relationship between the U.S. and Egypt to reach its impending end.

If our analysis is correct, then the people of Egypt must remain vigilant. We believe that once they are done with their effort for regime change in Syria, that Egypt will become the next target.

May Allāh Almighty protect the Muslims.

[1] Dirham is a unit of currency in several Arab states and formerly, the related unit of mass (the Ottoman dram) in the Ottoman Empire and Persian states. The Dirham denotes silver.

[2] The Dinār is the main currency unit in modern circulation in nine mostly-Islamic countries, and has historic use in several more. The Dinār denotes gold. The Irāqī dinār was introduced into circulation in 1932, by replacing the Indian Rupee, which had been the official currency since the British occupation of the country in World War I, at a rate of 1 dinar = 11 rupees. The dinar was pegged at par with the British Pound until 1959 when, without changing its value, the peg was switched to the United States Dollar at the rate of 1 dinar = 2.8 dollars
